Woburn Sands
Woburn Park, Deer and Trees, Saturday 13th April.
A walk led by Paul Boatfield.
The walk will start from Woburn, Park Street, car park, which is opposite St Mary’s Church,
Its 6 1/2 mile (10.5 km) circular walk with just the usual up and downs steps and styles
We will mainly be going through The Private Woburn Estate, parklands and lakes, the home of 9 species of deer. (Paul saw 5 herds when surveying the route last week), there are many fine trees and views. The break will be just over halfway round at the traditional village cricket ground of Evershot.
Bring a drink and snack for the break, wear appropriate footwear and clothing for a winter’s walk in the country
Meet by the Natwest bank, Cranfield Campus 1:30 pm
Due to demand the walk will cost £2, there is transport involved so let us know if you are going by emailing walking@cranfield.ac.uk by Friday 12th April @1:30
Woburn Sands, Saturday 9th March
Meet NatWest bank at 13:30.
The walk will start from Woburn Sands, Russell Street car park (High Street end) MK17 8NU 6 mile (9.5Km) walk mainly on the flat with a short steep hill through woods and then downhill. Will be going through parklands, woods and villages, along country paths and country roads
There will be a short break about halfway round so bring a drink and snack. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for a country walk. Weather is supposed to be good this weekend so get yourself along!!

Saturday 9th Feburary: Walk around Woburn Sands
A lovely walk along around Woburn Sands, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, villages and woodland, with a break half way through so bring a drink and snack!
Walk itinerary:
Meet in front of the Main Reception Depart at 13:30
Total walk length: circa 9.5 km (6 miles) Return: circa 17:00 hours
Please note that the weather forecast is cold, and it may rain slightly – so please come prepared. Waterproofs will be needed. Surface mostly suitable for trainers but can be slightly wet underfoot.
