So at last it’s here, the trip to Scotland, and our final peak! Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the UK stands at 1344m

We will be hiking over three days, and it will be midweek.

 

Activity date:  Sunday 13th – Wednesday 16th July 2014
Meeting point:  CSA (Cranfield University)
Departing time from Cranfield: 12:00
Arriving time to Cranfield (approx):  20:30
Walk length (Km):  40+ Km (over three days)
Club members only?:  Yes
Sign up at:  walking@cranfield.ac.uk with “Sarah-Fort William” in subject title
Sign-up deadline:  From Friday 23rd May @ 9pm
Price:  £100 (£50 deposit required with final balance due closer to the date)
Meal provided?:  Breakfast on Mon, Tues & Wed, evening meal on Mon & Tues
Gear:  NO GEAR, NO GO policy for this trip. This means that walking boots (NO other shoes!), waterproofs (including waterproof trousers), warm clothes and a NON-COTTON base layer are a must for this trip. NO jeans please!
Other information:  Transport: car sharing, drivers sought, fuel costs will be paid. Journey duration: 8 hours one way (460 miles). Food: For all days of walking you will need to provide yourself with a packed lunch, some high energy food to keep you going throughout the day and at least 1.5 litres of water.
