Message from Digimap
Hi everyone, we have finally received a response from Edina that manages Digimap Collections and as a result, our Maps page has been updated – it contains some important information about using Digimap and copyrights.

It’s a shame you have had to take down your walk maps because of this. It might be worth re-making them using OpenStreetMap instead? It isn’t as detailed and misses some paths, but can be freely used.

Thank you for your comment and suggestion on using OpenStreetMap as an alternative. Most of our members are students and staff at Cranfield University and therefore they have access to Digimap. So it is just that individuals now have to make the effort to register with the Digimap service and create their own maps, instead of relying on the organizers of the Cranfield University’s walking society to make some maps for them. Which for me, as one the organizers, is not a bad outcome!
